About TVP

Thompson Valley Preschool is a non-profit organization which grew out of a Community Action Outreach Program formed in 1970 for single parents and migrant families in the Loveland community. The program evolved into Thompson Valley Preschool in 1973 to fulfill a need for an affordable preschool program for all families in the community. Over the years, TVP has increased its capabilities to include parenting, summer, and outreach programs to better serve its families as a whole.

Our Philosophy

The preschool maintains its initial philosophy of providing affordable access to a high quality preschool program promoting School Readiness by delivering a developmentally appropriate and well-rounded program promoting competence and initiative through clear age-appropriate activities. The core of the program is its staff and their delivery of the curriculum, and relationship development with the students and parents.

Our Staff

Thompson Valley Preschool's teaching staff hold secondary education degrees in early childhood education and are passionate about working with young children and their jobs. In addition, they are trained in Zoo-phonics and the Pyramid model curriculum used at TVP as well as First-Aid and CPR, and maintain 15-30 hours of Professional development annually. The cumulative staff experience at TVP is over 75 years.
